Series of Poker is coming to Europe
Harrah's announces yesterday that it will be expanding the
World Series of Poker into Europe this fall. WSOP Europe
is scheduled to being in September 2007 and will have
events spanning for 11 days across three London Clubs
International casinos. This will mark the first time
covered World Series bracelets are issued outside of Las
Vegas.
The complete schedule of events will not be published
until May. PokerNews.com is reporting that inaugural WSOP
Europe event will be a £2,500 buy-in three-day H.O.R.S.E
tournament which will start on September 6th.
Harrah's has announced two other events which are a £5,000
buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha beginning on September 8th
and the WSOP Europe Main Event which will begin on the 10th.
The WSOP Europe Main event is priced to attract the Worlds
largest players with a £10,000 entry free. This will be a
No-Limit Texas Holdem tournament which will be played at 3
different locations in London.
The WSOP Europe was designed with European players in mind
yet players from all over the world may participate. This
is the first step in Harrah's long term plans to expand
the WSOP into a world recognized global brand.
