February 20, 2007 - Party
unleashes the Premier Poker league.
This exciting new series has been developed by Matchroom
Sport. Which will feature 12 of the best poker players
playing in a brand new league format. They will be
competing for a $500,000 grand prize.
There will be 6 preliminary stages, this system was
developed to decrease the chance of luck, and to have
skill prevail. The leading four poker players will be
advanced to the final table. They will then battle it out
in heads up matches for the final 2 seats.
The buy-in to the event is $20,000 and Party Poker has
came in and added $260,000 to the prize pool. The line up
of entrants is very impressive which includes, Dave Devil
Fish ulliot, Tony G, Andy Black, Kiril Gerasimov, Liz
Lieu, Ian Fraser, Roland De Wolfe,
Vicky Coren, Juha Helppi,
Kenna James and Eddy Scharf.
Bad Boy of Poker Phil Hellmuth commented, "I love the UK
