February 9, 2007 - Paradise
Poker to Join the Boss Media Network
Paradise Poker announced this week they are going to be
closing down their online poker room. The company plans to
move all players over to a new skin operating on the Boss
Media Network.
Paradise was a true pioneer in the industry. Their poker
room was on of the first few to ever offer online play and
for the first couple of years Paradise was the only option
of a quality online poker experience.
Paradise has struggled to make up for its lost market
share after the UIGE Act of 2006 where they were forced to
stop allowing USA players.
This merger is great news for online poker players who
love large sites. If you combine the Paradise player base
with the existing Boss player base you end up with the
largest poker network in Europe. It will be interesting to
see what the numbers are once the merger takes place.
The Boss Network is known for wild and juicy games with
see flop percentages often in the 70 percent range even at
high stake tables.
