February 1, 2007 - The NPL's Global Open to debut in Paris France.

The National Poker League (NPL) is kicking off their 2007 Global Open in Paris France. This tournament will be held May 13th at the Cercle Gaillon Casino. To spice things up €100,000 to the prize pool.

The NPL is on a mission to promote poker as a sport. Their company strongly believes that poker has evolved into a sport and should be treated as such. You can read more about their organization on their official website www.npltv.com.

The events currently scheduled are:

Paris Open, United Kingdom Open, Asia Open, and the Vegas Open.
