The most news worthy story to this point is the latest in poker acquisition era; PartyGaming has purchased the assets of Empire Online. With this sale Party now owns Noble Poker, Fair Poker and several casinos. This is a great addition for the company to compliment their massively successful Party Brands.

Party Poker Buys Noble Poker

PartyGaming recently announced their purchase of assets from Empire Online and International Online Gaming. With this acquisition PartyGaming has picked up a handful of sites with the most popular being NoblePoker.com. Other sites included in the purchase were Club Dice Casino, Enter Casino, Fair Poker, Miss Bingo, Carnival Casino, Magic Box Casino and Possibly several others. Also announced a few days after the acquisition: Party Gaming and Play Tech agreed on a 4 year contract. This means the NoblePoker.com software will stay in place (Read Details Here).

Everest Poker has announced a $5000+$300 poker tournament called the "Everest Poker Avalanche Tournament". Satellites to this tournament have already started and run several times daily with buy ins starting as low as $3.30. The tournament will be conducted online except the final table where 10 players will battle it out in a secret location live. All expenses are covered by Everest to the 10 finalist. The Prize pool is a guaranteed $1,000,000.

 

2007 WSOP Seats

The 2007 WSOP Schedule has been released. This year there are 54 events. The series kicks off June 1, 2007 with a $5,000 mixed Holdem event. This is a combination of FL and NL Holdem. The event concludes with the 2007 $10,000 Buy in NL Holdem Championship which runs from July 4-13.
